Follow our tutorial to make your own free logo and to see the potential of the Xara product together with your graphics flare. We will go through a very simple idea for a logo design, remember that the best logos are the simple ones KISS (keep it stupid simple)

Launch Xara Extreme

The user interface uses an uncluttered menu bar which will make the production of good results as easy as possible.

Firstly we are going to add the main logo text.

Click on the New... button on the Layer gallery window and type a suitable title as below.

Select the text icon on the left menu bar then click on the main window where you would like the text. Then type Sound Factory.

Highlight the font and then use the drop down menu to select the font of your choice, the fonts shown will be your installed fonts. (More are available via the Xara web site). We used Slicker but any bold font will do. Select the size dropdown and select 48pt.

Reposition the text as required by selecting the selection tool and dragging as usual with windows applications.
